Extend Guidance Efforts Across Campus
Aligned with the ASCA Professional School Counseling Model, JC’s SEL curriculum has been developed to help school counselors increase their campus wide reach. With student performance, emotional challenges, and relational issues at the forefront of every student, parent, and educator’s mind, it has become necessary for professional school counselors to extend their services beyond the traditional one to one counseling services that they have traditionally been expected to offer.
Working with a select group of “peer coaches” this SEL curriculum strengthens students at both younger and older grade levels. By teaching students the tools needed to start rising up over adversity, JC’s RISING UP: Coaching Program has been heralded as a suicide prevention program and anti-bully curriculum that is helping change lives in schools across North America.
